Crossroads is a group of young people, mostly college students who witness
and share a Pro-life message. The groups walked into Cleveland on July 25,
2008 and were welcomed by members of the Respect Life Committee. Crossroads
was founded by Steve Sanborn in 1994. As a student of Franciscan University
in Steubenville, Steve felt a call to act on the Culture of Life message
from the words of Pope John Paul II. Each summer young adults walk from
Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles sharing their Pro-life Message and
witnessing to the sanctity of all human life. There are three routes in the
United States, one in Canada and one in Ireland. The Crossroads walkers
speak to parish groups sharing their journey and encouraging pro-life
activism. The walkers are funded by the generosity of individuals across
America. Crossroads also sponsors the Michael Project, a crisis pregnancy
center. The Respect Life members from St. Gregory the Great, Gesu and St.
Joan of Arc were inspired by the energetic enthusiasm and commitment of the
Crossroads walkers. Crossroads walkers shared their journey during an
evening of fellowship and prayer. Brother Dan Bowen OdeM closed the evening
with prayer during a candlelight ceremony.
